Upsy Daisy!

After I finished the Fifth Avenue Floral card, I decided to ink up my Upsy Daisy set. Like this one much better than the previous one I did with this set. (You will not be seeing it posted here. Absolutely horrible!)

Hey Kimberly!!!

I told Kimberly that I would add this. Okay, so that was last week. We all know that I tend to be a little slow!
I was talking to her on the phone while doing this card. This is the watercolor technique I was trying to explain to her. After I got off the phone, I added dazzling diamonds to it. Didn't think she wanted to hear the sound of my embossing gun!
Really loving that Fifth Avenue Floral set!

Aunt Pearl's BDay Gift

I made a dozen of these - four of each color - for Mom's Aunt Pearl for her bday. Decided to use my new SU Fifth Avenue Floral set for it. When I originally saw this set, I thought it was not the set for me. But after seeing so many great projects done with it on Splitcoast, I knew it was an absolute must-have! And now I'm glad that I caved and got it!
Also, sorry about the first three pics. I don't know how to get them upright!

Aunt Betty's BDay

Happy birthday Aunt Betty! I hope she has a great one. In case you were wondering what her card looked like, this is it. It had a nice soft look to it. I almost hated to part with it. It turned out rather pretty!

Christmas!!!

I've been concentrating on Christmas this weekend it seems. Downloaded a bunch of Christmas music to Napster. Put Newsong's "The Christmas Shoes" cd in my car. And decided to make some Christmas cards. These ones were done using SU's Snow Swirled set - a favorite for sure! Decided that I would try out the new Bermuda Bay and Mambo Melon cardstock and ink and I love those colors!!!

And Flight of the Butterfly...

Used the same combo on this one as on the Cheep Talk card. Got to use my new Martha Stewart butterfly punch with this one. It was fun doing this card.

Some Cheep Talk

Okay, that was a play on the name of the stamp set. Was rearranging in the craft area and found Sage Shadow, Basic Grey and Kraft cardstock. Really liked how they looked together so decided to attempt a card with them.

Embracing Life

Decided to pull out Embrace Life (probably my favorite set!) and Sweet Serendipity for this one. Loved the color combo here.

A new Sizzix die...

While Mom was in the hospital, I went to Joann Fabrics. They had this flower die for only $3.97! I couldn't just leave it there! Went home and made these two cards for her. One from Rascal and one from me...

One of Mom's get well cards

I made a few get well cards for Mom while she was in the hospital. This was the first and one of my favorites. The stamps were from Saltbox Studio. I knew I had to get this set when I saw those adorable candle images. Love, love, love candles!

Big Butterfly!

This card was entirely too easy! i was cutting up a spring stack from Die Cuts with a View the other day. Decided that the butterfly that was in the bottom corner was too perfect by itself. Just added a sentiment from SU's Sweet Seredipity set and some ribbon to finish it up. If only they were all this simple!

A set Dad likes!

When i saw projects with SU's new Autumn Days stamp set, I knew I had to get it! Used their new Dusty Durango and Crushed Curry cardstock and ink with it as well. Not sure I like this card, but it's the first one with a new set. It takes a little while to get used to new stuff!

Lady Bugs

From SU's retired Darling Dots set...

Another card

Love this Flight of the Butterfly set!

Abbi's bday card

This is the card I made for Abbi's bday. Thought it turned out really cute!

While I'm already posting...

Made this card set to go with the post-it notes and chocolate box! This set went to my great-Aunt Pearl for Mother's Day.
Also, made the family's Christmas cards this weekend. But I'm not going to spoil it by posting here!

Goes with the previous post-it post!

Grabbed a nugget tin, filled it with Hershey's Bliss. (Love those things!!!) Added a belly band and it was ready to go!

Finally...

a new post! (Just when you thought it was never going to happen!)
I made a thank you card for my two aunts who hosted the family picnic today. It was a very enjoyable afternoon.
I used So Saffron for the base. Real Red and Tangerine Tango for the layers and dsp from last summer. (Summer Picnic or something like that) Lady bug stamp was from Darling Dots set. Just thought this turned out nice.

Sorry I haven't posted!

I have worked on projects, but have forgotten to take pics before giving items away. It's been a bit crazy here. Rascal was really sick for a couple of weeks. He was strange acting and devoid of energy. It got to the point where we were lifting our 80 pound dog onto the porch. That's when Dad built him a ramp. We finally got him into the vet only to discover that he now has diabetes. So he gets two shots of insulin a day. But he's doing much better now!
Then I developed tendonitis. No matter what I did, it didn't seem to get any better. Then I developed a bump on the side of my wrist and it hurt so bad! So I went to the doctor and it seems that I have a ganglion cyst. I have an appointment with an orthopedic on Wednesday, so I'm hoping things get better soon!

My Furboy!

Rascal was lying down in front of the porch and I couldn't resist taking his picture. He's just too adorable!

Post-It Holder

This was a copy of a post-it holder for 3x3 that I found the directions for on a blog. I used SU's Pacific Point cardstock and ink (I'm going to be disappointed when they discontinue that color in a couple of months!) Scalloped circle, 1+3/8 and 1+1/4 inch circle punchs from SU as well. The stamp was from SU's Dreams Du Jour set. I ran the cardstock thru my Cuttlebug to emboss it. Brads are from Oriental Trading Co and ribbon from SU. Hope you like it!

Hello!

Bet you thought I was never going to post anything here. Surprise! I made this card this morning. Thought it turned out nice. I used the new Sweet Stems set from SU. Love this cute set of flowers! Cardstock and ink were Certainly Celery. Ribbon was So Saffron striped. Just used colored pencils to color in the flowers. Was quite pleased with how this turned out, hope you like it as well!

Sorry!

I haven't been on here in quite a while. I caught the stomach flu and have been battling that for the better part of a week. But I have a long weekend off coming up! And an order from Stampin Up on it's way! So hopefully I'll be able to take advantage of the time and get something up here. I have some great ideas floating around in the grey matter...

Get well Uncle Sonny!

My uncle fell and broke this elbow (I think that's what Mom said, correct me if I'm wrong). He is having surgery this afternoon. So I created this card for him.

I used SU's Chocolate Chip & Old Olive papers, along with a DSP. I cut several pieces out with my Cricut using the Accent Essentials cartridge. Love, love, love my Cricut!!! The stamp set was SU's Trendy Trees from the spring/summer catalog. First time this set saw any ink!

P. S. I thought of something while I was doing this. In college I was used to doing DPS's - double page spreads - for the yearbook. Now I'm using DSP's - designer series paper. Guess I'm getting dyslexic!

Didn't really care for the other one, so...

I decided to try again with the sympathy card. Like this one better. Still used SU's Thoughts & Prayers. Used the flower that I'm so fond of from Eastern Blooms. Cardstock is Chocolate Chip, Old Olive & Tangerine Tango. Surprisingly, I like this color combo! Also dove into the Stylized Silver Hardware Box. Gotta stop hording supplies, they're taking too much space!

Another Sympathy Card

Did I mention that I really don't like making sympathy cards? Good thing I bought SU's Thoughts & Prayers set though.
Charlotte Staubs posted on Facebook that her mother-in-law just passed away. For those of you who don't know...Pastor and Charlotte were the minister and wife at the Church of the Nazarene in Franklin while I was in high school and part of college. They are really special people who I really miss. Charlotte is also retiring from her job today. She will be taking care of her mom who has Alzheimer's. My thoughts and prayers do go out to them during this difficult time.

Since I'm late already...

This was a Christmas card that Mom sent to someone. I made cards for everybody but me it seemed like!

This was SU's Sleigh Bells Ring using Pale Plum. Decided I liked that color after all!

Little Bit Late, But...

Here is the card that I made for Aunt Isabelle's b-day last April. (Thank you to all who sent cards to her. She really enjoyed them!) I used SU's Bloomin' Beautiful set. I watercolored the flowers. It took quite some time, but she liked it. That's all that matters!

Another Valentine's Day Post

This jar full of cinnamon hearts is what I gave to my aunts who came to the lunch on Saturday. I found these jars at WalMart. Simply added a ribbon and a tag stamped with SU's Very Punny set in Riding Hood Red.

Got the little red bucket in the Dollar Spot at Target. Filled it with candies for Dad and added a red striped ribbon from SU.

Love Shack, Baby!

When I saw this stamp on A Muse's website, I knew I had to have it. In my freshman year at Mt. Vernon, Love Shack by the B-52's was on the radio every time you turned it on! So I had to make it into a Valentine's card for Kimberly.
I printed the lyrics onto pink cardstock I got at Hollo's last week (Thank you for taking me Tina! I really enjoyed the day with you and Abbi!). The image is stamped in Riding Hood Red from SU, and the red layers are Riding Hood Red as well. The white layer was stamped in Pink Passion with a flower(?) from Sweet Serendipity from SU. The paisley layer is a great paper from Doodlebug I bought @ the scrapbook store.

I haven't forgotten!

I know I haven't posted in a couple of days. I have been working on Valentine's items and would like to wait until after I have given them away to post them! So I'll probably post again at the beginning of next week!

Third post today!

Making up for all the times I didn't post, I guess. This was done using a House Mouse stamp and sentiment. I adore House Mouse - so cute! (But I'd better not see a mouse in my house.) This is going in a box of cards for my great Aunt Pearl. I used SU cardstock in Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red and Chocolate Chip. The edges are done using a punch from Martha Stewart. The ribbon is from SU as well. The background stamp is chocolate chips from SU's Oh So Sweet set.

Valentine's for Abbi!

This is the gift that I'll be giving to Abbi this year. Couldn't resist the adorable doggie when I spotted it at WalMart. I made the box using an envelope template that I just got from Oriental Trading. The paper was from SU's Candy Cane collection. The box was much easier to do that I thought it would be!

I actually made something!!!

Just when you thought I would never do anything on here, I finally made a card! Unfortunately, it happens to be a sympathy card. My cousin's wife just lost her dad. So I decided to try some of my new stuff.

The stamp set is Thoughts and Prayers. It is new this year from Stampin' Up (to be referred as SU from henceforth). The background is stamped with Eastern Blooms from SU. The cardstock and ink are chocolate chip and old olive. (The first time I have ever used either color!) The ribbon I bought at Big Lots and the brad is from Oriental Trading. I hope you like it! Just wish it had been a happier occassion.

Welcome!

I have set up this blog as a place to share with you. Whether it's what's going on at this time or my latest project. Who knows what will end up on here in the future!
